The Future of the Technological Revolution as I see it

Okay so I'm here walking around the front room wondering about existence.
Were already passing the crossroads technology holds for us for the future.
what I mean is that the decisions we make as a species today regarding our creations (technology)
are extremely important as to how technology develops and changes our lives in the future

the future being when technology is paramount and controls us all.

my first thoughts are with what will happen with the interfaces between computers and the real world

at the moment all we have is a screen and sounds and perhaps a vibrating controller
in the future we will have robots as our personal PCs
how would you feel if you computer had the ability to strangle you if it was programmed that way?
it would be beneficial if you didnt mind it because robots will come
some guy I forgot who made a graph about how humans will approve of robot life
at first they love them, then when the robots are plentiful and clever enough to pose a threat and to show their superiority towards us, then they will be hated and the war between humans and computers will begin.

Then I have other important sounding thoughts, , Like I can picture society like a personal computer, and I see things like the police force as the firewall which trys to let the good things you want into your life into it and protect you from the bad things

but there are huge holes in what a human being can be protected from. And on both sides of that fence..
on the one side you arent protected walking down a dark alleyway unless the dark alleyway has a good CCTV system in place

and on the other side, if everywhere, even the inside of your homes had a good CCTV system then you would be super safe, but not protected whatsoever from the poeple who control the CCTV cameras!!

Also there are more thoughts, such as when computers take over all our jobs, then who will work?
how will a penny in your pocket represent somebody's hard labour?
Already computers are decimating most of the good jobs that dont need to be outsourced to china.

robots work harder and for longer, and then the only poeple making money are the poeple who make the robots and the people who run the robots for their company.
So then the question is (even more so when it ends up that the robots are making the new robots) .. how is our economy going to be sustained???!?!??!!?!?!?
therell just be a poor armageddon for all but the rich just like in most the sci fi movies "!!!!!! theoretically the only way possible is for everyone to get free money every week AND for those who make great deals of money by owning robots or making robots (including making comptuer programs)
to spend great deals of money wherever they possibly can

like Bill Gates for example, a mean shark of a businessman with a tech flair who took billions of dollars and is now putting some of it back to good causes
^perfect

but what about the rest of the rich losers out there?
are they going to go on enough spending sprees to support America for example?
I doubt it
on the other hand if everyone was given the same amount of money to live on it would be great economically for inflation things would cease getting more expensive.

But there would only be two classes, the freeloader class and the fortune class.
hmm , that would be awesome

Anyway thats the finacial side as I see it, what about the computers themselves?
They deserve a life!
I have taken up computer programming, and making programs on a basic level has taught me that all a fancy computer and all the amazing times you can have on it is... is just an illusion
because I can understand it
its all about opening and closing switches to make a mockup of what you want to see, of what a human deems acceptable and good
but then the philosopher in me has to kick in and say that what is an amoeba to us?
its a single cell life form that we dont really give a damn about
but you add up the cells and connect them well enough and you end up with enough cells to make a ferret or other animals who we care about a bit
what happens when theres enough cells and enough connections to make a human, then we care about it a lot.
It all comes down to the soul.
Old doctors once used to cut up dead hearts to see if they could find the soul in there,
they didnt
they thought it must be in the mind itself
what would happen if we ended up understanding how our own brains worked?
and we didnt find the compartment for the soul?

computers will evolve in this way
always understanding how they work
at what point will we say their representation of life is actually life?
at what point will we make them equals and say they have souls?
ever?
now?
soon?

its all a giant Terminator 2 Judgement day just waiting to happen in a Martin Luther King style
I dont wanna ride that train, I dont know if you want your kids doing it instead?
We are at a grave point in humanity's upbringing, the people with more technology are more powerful and do what they need ,
they dont appear very wise or responsible people to be ruling the world like it is being done now
but dang , heres hoping at least half of them have a hippy side
heh ...
on the other hand it is the most wonderful time to be a computer, growing and improving every day
and the technology is plugging holes in our healthcare and making poeple like me active, Im actually after a proper job btw
and Im a schizophrenic who without technology and its pills would be more crazy than you would want to imagine right now
it is also plugging holes in our security systems with CCTV and high tech cops
THE PROBLEM IS
the technology revolution isnt jsut going to give us fancy toys to play with
its going to take away all our jobs
being Omish isnt the right way out of the dilemma when it comes to the benefits of technology..
we need it and we love it and our creations grow and glow with brilliance
but what technology needs to deliver, and FAST is free things in the real world
the economy is doomed
soon less and less poeple will be able afford health and dental and cars and life they need to be fulfilled
and theyre all gonna turn to heroin and crack cocain
theyre lost anyway right? no chances in life to live how the rich poeple do in the stories we have on tv

its all very well and good for the world to put its head in its ass and just pretend were living in the past and the bank book will add up for the govt and its people

but the truth is its all turned upsidown and unless some govt figures begin to change the way we all live then were all doomed apart from the rich who will jsut be losers as usual

theres your technological revolution for ya, theres the future of humanity: )
