And hence grew up with the notion that money was only paper and digits on some computer.
I didn't care about it, in fact I remember once throwing away some small change because it was so annoying to cart around and I would have a hard time spending it.

And then I became an adult and on benefits from the state for my mental health I continued the notion that money was worthless.
That was until I didn't have any left. In fact I now have less than any and am in debt. Not severely but enough to drill the fact into my skull that money was of value and that value was that it is earned through hard labor by many people and exchanged with the value of those blood sweat and tears and passed around for hundreds of years as such.

Communism unfortunately did NOT work and anarchy WILL not work (because nobody would do the dirty jobs).
So are we stuck being either money hungry, killing and slogging our guts out. Or being the alternative of poor and idealistic? Or with luck, wealthy and stupid enough not to need to care?

Pure capatalism and pure communism are rediculously damaging to the livelyhood and souls of those stuck in them.
In America a doctor will stand by whilst people die and scream around them. In old Russia people lined up and starved and died whilst the world around them thrived.

I came up with a possible solution: What if, there were a maximum amount of money you could legally earn? If you earned more than that then it would all be given to the state as a form of tax?
THAT WAY, as long as the maximum amount was high enough, people would still strive to attain the maximum bank account, the states would all be wealthy and so would be good to their citizens. There would be a HUGE middle class, an upper middle class and a small lower class of poeple who cant work for medical reasons etcetera. And the drug addicts of course. There would be no super rich elite who throw the entire balance off the world's economy. Money would still have worth. And there would be little to no inflation as everyone would think carefully before pricing something.

THERE!
I don't think it will happen in my lifetime anywhere but you have to admit it is the best idea for a country's economy, soul and well being.

Thank you for reading,

Nick.Eliot[at]Cannotfindserver.net

14/12/2010

<main page
