War of the Self

I was walking down the road today and was struck with such a thought that I decided to delve in to it and rabbit on to you all.

It was that to win in modern society you basically have to win the war within yourself.

The key to winning the war with yourself, I have learned from my beautiful wife is first to accept all that you are, all the good and the bad, and then choose not to do the bad things.

The battle lines are laid bare, there is you.
The sides are opposed.

You could be the bully wolf, the coward chicken, the strong human or the wise recluse.

I dont really know much psychology, so officially there are probably many different sides to the random homosapien.

You are not a bad person, or a good person. You are a human being inside. What has lead you here is the changes caused by time.

To digress like a twat, we are all the same in this. None of us really have the power to change the world on a grand scale, let alone drive the human condition in a positive direction where it is no longer an affliction.

Though we would be fools not to try.

We are all in this together after all. You are in the same family/global team as everyone else. We are all universes walking around a bigger universe together.
And we can only do our best to change things for the better. But being all so seperate as the same time as being all together, one human cannot change everyone.

To get back to the point, you/me/them are not good or bad poeple. Good and Evil are not concepts that the universe is built on.
They are theoretical. Nietzsche (the twat) figured that out years ago. And what became of it was hitler.

Biggest cunt of them all for a while.

he thought like that and hence misery became us. Though not all of us. There were many who where never greatly effected by WWII and who did not give a shit.
My wife, who knows much of psychology determined him a psychopath. Who is someone who is born without empathy. Not that uncommon in humanity and are decent enough people normally, just people that you should not support or be lead by.

He was not evil though. He was just a baby to (for example) a being who has lived 50000 years or more. Even if there is one of those around, we cannot be sure.

He was not good either. Though ultimatly he was his own worst enemy. He probably knew all the dire suffering he was causing on an intellectual level, but he did not win the war within himself. His own worst enemy meant,

hitler=failure
to himself and his homosapien family.

and it is a shame.

So if youre not good nor evil then what are you? What will you become? How will you become you=sucess?

The stakes are high, there is nothing more to live for but yourself and those around you.

you will be judged by your actions for sure. And if ever you find someone you let into your mind you will be double judged for who you are.

But it is not a matter of that. We are adaptable creatures, and our brains can be reprogrammed as they learn, all you need is the will to change.

Heck this is all a distraction. Life is basically a huge distraction.
What I am trying to state, rather difficultly is that in modern societys, with rules and explanations, crimes, consequences, law and total ORDER.
You are left as a homosapien put into an ordered habitat. It is not ordered perfectly and that harangues and hasstles man/woman and child immensly.

We dont really know how to order it better. But we are basically forced to take a place inside it.

You are not a hunter, you are not a gatherer, you are a citizen. And luxorious though sprung matresses are, its enough to do anyone's head in.

So how do you react? An ignorant (like me) human born into the middle of an ignorant (though ordered) society?

How do you feel alive? How do you be yourself? Who do you seek to share it with? How do you find your worth? How do you find yourself?

I dont know for one, I just try to do my best, and usually end up going off half cocked and walking down the wrong path instead.

Though I do know how to suceed. And that is by winnig the war with yourself first.
Modern life is not about going with the flow of what people tell you.

If someone crosses you you cannot just strike back, for everything is incredibly complicated. And to win each battle you must fight in many different ways, not those you first choose but those with the greatest impact for your good, and for those you are fighting with.

The greatest battle is against ignorance. The secondary battles are with fear and pain.

You could grow from them and learn from them, or you could wither from them and become them. Hence the war within the self, which I reccomend you win.

If you can.

And I have faith in you.
